Yes, it is an ambitious list....Greetings, Barbara! Yes, it is an ambitious list. I plan general goals at the beginning of a new year and then set monthly goals that will help me to achieve my goals for the year. As you see, I don't always accomplish everything on my list every month. But I'm a strong believer in the old adage that if we aim at nothing, we'll hit it every time. So I aim at something; often, too many things. I make a daily time schedule to try and fit necessary tasks into the most efficient time frame, and I also keep a running list as you do. Like you, my life is so busy that often I don't get to cross much of the running list. I was encouraged this morning, though, to cross a few things off. I tend to keep a running list on the note section of my iPhone with a mental list for everyday stuff, and occasionally a written list if there are a lot of things that need to be done within a certain time frame. But I don't often get to my running list because of the others.Barbara H.http://barbarah.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15265988.post-83112831573686497672015-11-01T16:10:42.117-05:002015-11-01T16:10:42.117-05:00You are right, Vee! I guess I left that "red...You are right, Vee! I guess I left that "reduce grocery bill" goal in there because I'm continually aiming at doing that overall. I am hoping (perhaps foolishly) that the overall bill will come down even if I do buy some extra items for baking, etc. since I am hopefully spending less and less each week. It has taken some time to see it, but I am beginning to find that buying less meat and cheese and more fruits, veggies, and grains is showing up ever so incrementally on the grocery bill. It can all be a bit misleading to me since we buy my dad's groceries too and just keep a running total of what he owes us. Then we get a check for that every few months. It's a lot easier than trying to check out with two grocery orders every week. But it does make the register tape long and rather scary!

October HAS been a good month. Busy, and with many challenges, but one in which, amazingly, many things still got accomplished. Sorry that yours has not been as good. Happy November to you also!!!Mrs.Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00392321745556290343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15265988.post-62904176455723206432015-11-01T08:24:21.311-05:002015-11-01T08:24:21.311-05:00I am surprised by the "reduce grocery budget ...I am surprised by the "reduce grocery budget by $5 a week"...this is the month that I want to budget extra grocery money because so many necessary things go on sale. I tend to stock up the pantry in November and December, but especially in November. You have had a great month! Wish that I could say the same. Happy November!
