Foliage scenes around the neighborhood, part 1
Earlier this week I snapped just a few photos near my dad's house. It was quite cloudy so the pictures have sort of a dark (but really not gloomy) look. They were taken with my Kindle so are not perfect, but I wanted to share them anyway.
I love the one at the top, showing yellow milkweed plants in the foreground, red sumac in the center left and then distant bright trees and a blue mountain.
The one below is looking up the road past my dad's at some colorful trees. I sort of like this look with the gray skies.
This one below is probably my very favorite in this batch. I just love the way the opening in the bushes provides a pretty frame for the mountain and the colorful treeline. To me it sort of looks like a painting.
And then the one below was taken near our church this past Sunday. I love how the single bright red tree just stands out, almost like a flame.
Hope you've enjoyed these atypical glimpses of New Hampshire color!
Oh, dear Mrs T...how I enjoy visiting with you! It has been awhile...I have not had sufficient time for blogging lately, but hopefully that will change in the not too distant future! {{Smiles}} What a delight this post was...and I loved catching a glimpse of your beautiful part of the world! Such pretty scenery...
ReplyDeleteHave a truly wonderful, blessed weekend!
Much love,
Kelly-Anne
Kelly-Anne, it is so nice to see you here! I understand not having sufficient time for blogging. You can see that some of my posts are little more than a few photos. I'm glad you've enjoyed seeing some of our fall scenery.
DeleteWe did have a blessed weekend ... especially today. Truly blessed!
Hope to see you again soon at my kitchen table!
God bless,
Mrs. T
Thanks for sharing. That is on my bucket list...visiting the Northeast one day. We don't see that here on the Panhandle of Florida.
ReplyDeleteSandi, I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. I hope you get to New England someday too. Check out today's (Monday's) blog post for a really glorious orange tree!
DeleteA mountain, too! I like views of one tree that stands out against the others. The foliage is really picking up steam and will soon be peak here...perhaps by week's end.
ReplyDeleteYes, a mountain too. That is Stinson Mountain ... steadfastly in my view through all of childhood. I'm so thankful that one day I came to know the one who sets the mountains fast!
ReplyDeleteNot quite peak foliage here, I don't think. But it's very windy today so many leaves are blowing off the trees.
