A few scenes from our weekend

My hubby and I were blessed to attend a couples' retreat this weekend at one of our favorite places, The Wilds of New England.  I can't take time for a long post, but will just say that we enjoyed good food, good fellowship, wonderful coffee, hot cider, ice cream, and fantastic teaching from God's Word.  I thought I would share just a few of the scenic photos Mr. T took, and add some captions.
We saw some gorgeous views just looking out the windows!  Every window seemed to frame a  lovely autumn picture.

I apologize for the angle of this photo.  But the view (right into the center of a tree) is so pretty I just had to share it!
This is the lower tower for the zipline.  Mr. T adored this activity!

We liked the way this little cottage seems nestled right into a tree.

A crackling fire and Adirondack chairs look so inviting...
Hope you have enjoyed this peek into our lovely October weekend!  This sweet little sign, which I bought in the gift shop at TWNE (and lost no time in placing on our dining room hutch), pretty much sums up our feelings:

  2. We certainly did! One of our favorite places. We are so blessed to have a place like this right here in New England. And yes, the trees were so beautiful, weren't they? The foliage is still nice in the more southern areas of our region.

I LOVE your new sign. I am sorry I am a terrible comment(er) lately. I still read here just usually silently. Hope you are enjoying these cooler fall days. I am also a robot today as I have to keep retrying to read the characters. :)

  4. Thanks, Nikki! I love the sign too. They had several different sizes of these neat wooden signs. These smallest ones were only $2.50. It was hard to choose, but I really, really liked this "thankful" one and feel it is appropriate year round!

No worries about not leaving comments; I quite understand! Did you get the email I sent you regarding an invite for someone? I haven't had a minute to follow up with her to ask, so was just wondering!

    Mrs. T,
I did and we sent it off. Let us know if for some reason it did not work. Some people are having trouble with them.

Abby -- so nice to see you here again. Yes, it was a gorgeous time for a retreat at The Wilds. Their last camp of the season for 2014. We did indeed have a wonderful time. Maybe you and your hubby could consider it for next year!
