Frost patterns
Today is a blustery January day, temps in the single numbers so far and very windy. Needless to say, with the wind chill factored in, it feels well below zero. This morning there were some lovely frost patterns on some of our upstairs windows. I should have taken these photos much earlier in the day, but didn't have the opportunity until a few minutes ago.
This side of the bathroom window makes me think of an evergreen tree with snow falling. This one has more of a snowflake effect. This bedroom window is decorated with rather stylized snowflakes. I love frost patterns, even if their presence does mean our house doesn't keep the cold out too efficiently. We were able to put in some new windows downstairs this year, so there are no pretty patterns on those windows!
So nice to see you here! I am so glad you stopped by to visit!
Life has been so busy that I have posted very little of late. Our daughter and family are visiting from northeastern Nevada. They've been here for 3 weeks and are leaving tomorrow.
Also, my mother passed away on January 17. There will be no service until spring, but still there are a lot of details to attend to, and my dad to keep an eye on.
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit my kitchen table! I love company here in my kitchen, so be sure to leave a comment so I'll know you've visited! I'll answer your questions and comments here on the blog unless you request otherwise.
I live in scenic northern New England with my handsome husband. We're empty-nesters with a bunch of adorable grandchildren. We love (tent) camping and traveling, but don't get away as often as we'd like to.
Hello Mrs. T! I see you are still enjoying winters chill! We have been bombarded with snow since early December, very unusual for SW Virginia!
ReplyDeleteHope is all is well!
Blessings
