Progress on the December sampler

I am hoping to post concerning my progress each month on the December cross-stitch sampler.  I think my first update was around June 22, so I had thought I'd post this one around July 22.  That didn't quite happen, but I think I last added a stitch or two to the sampler around July 27, so I'm not too far off.  I almost never just sit and stitch on this at home; I might do so very occasionally during a lengthy phone conversation.  Mostly any work on this sampler is done while riding in the car (not driving) or while waiting somewhere.

I'm still hoping to finish this by December, but we shall see!

  1. Love it...I am working on a fall sampler but it may be next year before it is framed and ready to share!!

  2. It's looking great! I have one I need to finish before Canadian Thanksgiving in October, but I can't seem to get back in the groove!

  3. Thanks for the encouragement, ladies! I'll look forward to seeing your fall sampler, Arlene, and your Thanksgiving one, Susan! I've found that if I can just make myself pick up the project and take a few stitches, that often gives me some momentum. I've found too that this idea of posting my progress monthly gives me some incentive to actually accomplish something each month.

I truly love cross-stitch but I have so little time to work on projects. Of course, I also love embroidery and crochet, but again ... so many projects, so little time. I just have to pick away at them in the free moments that are available. I hope there will be needlework in heaven!

    Mrs. T,
Just wanted to stop by and say hello. It has been awhile since I did that. Hope all is well at your house.

  5. Your sampler is coming along beautifully. It will be fun to see the completed project. Sadly, I have done no cross stitch all summer, but that's the norm. This weekend again will be quite busy as I'm helping Anne with her yard sale on Saturday if it doesn't rain.

    See ya Sunday!

  6. Hi Nikki and Mrs. D!

Nikki -- thanks for stopping by to visit at my kitchen table! You are such a busy lady. I do appreciate the visit!

Mrs. Doug -- I know from chatting at church that you were able to cross stitch a bit at Anne's yard sale. Wonderful! I had barely touched this sampler of mine during August, but yesterday I did get quite a bit done during some "waiting time" and during a lengthy phone conversation. I'm about halfway done with that row of snowflakes. Hope work is going better for you this week!
