This week seems to have whizzed by faster than ever. It hardly seems possible it can be Friday again already! But here we are -- so here are some blessings from my week:
1. Supper on the deck several times this week. That always makes both of us feel more relaxed, as if we're on vacation when we're really just living our usual hectic lives!
2. Spending time at a local town's Old Home Day celebration. It was a little different this year than in the past, but we still enjoyed visiting with folks and watching the parade, etc. For Mr. T, the most disappointing change was the lack of a food truck selling fried dough. He was planning on that! We made up for it by purchasing yummy bacon cheeseburgers from the 8th graders raising funds for their class trip. Outstanding!

The Grandma's Pancake Sampler has become a new favorite of mine. |
This was on his 5th birthday, whe we were in Nevada to celebrate with him and his family |
There's my simple Friday five for this week!
You're so right about God giving us the strength we need to get through our days. He is good!
ReplyDeleteAmen! He certainly is. All the time!
DeleteA wonderful week in deed, dear friend, we love to eat outside when weather permits, we also enjoy eating at Cracker Barrel, my dh usually gets Grandma sampler, me I like uncle Hershels breakfast. ~wink~
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your grandson!
Like you, we depend on our strength from the Lord to do the tasks at hand, I ask for strength numerous times each day, and He gives me strength liberally.
Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Sue
What a fun comment, Sue! We have a great deal in common, it seems. For years both my hubby and I always got the Sunrise Sampler at Cracker Barrel. I'll have to take another look at Uncle Herschel's breakfast!
DeleteYes, asking for strength throughout the day for the challenges at hand ... God is always faithful!
The older I get the more I am thankful for strength for the day, and the less I take it for granted. I love your list of blessings for the week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Becki! I feel the very same way as far as strength for the day as we age.
DeleteI love your Friday fives … had never heard of that - what a great idea.
