2020! Not only a new year but a new decade!
I really have very little idea where 2019 has gone or how it got there so quickly. The year seems to have literally flown by, much more so than usual.
I hope that all of my readers and friends will have a happy, healthy, and most of all a spiritually prosperous new year in 2020. May we all get serious about our walk with the Lord and living life to His glory.
So here are my goals for January:
* Memorize at least 4 Bible verses and review some older ones
* Work on a Bible study for my quiet time
* Post in my blogs as often as possible
* Reflect on 2019 and set some goals for 2020
* Continue our discipleship study with new believers
* Provide Sunday lunch hospitality for pulpit supply couples at least once this month

HEALTHY HABITS FOR DECEMBER: Drink more water/get more sleep/limit sugar/walking
Hoping for a productive, healthy January!
Happy New Year! I read your list quickly so I wouldn’t need to go back to bed overcome with weariness. Writing all that down is an exercise all by itself. Oh I remember those snowsuits! Are you the taller girl? They were wool and itchy and very heavy once they got wet.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, too, Vee!
DeleteNow, now, I just copy and paste the list from month to month, removing things that got done and adding things in that need to be done in the current month. (Some, of course, are ongoing so stay on the list.) So I'm not really writing it all down each time.
Yes, I am the taller girl with my brother and cousin. You are so right about those snowsuits -- wool, itchy. And snow pilled on them.
Wow! That is quite a list of goals! I am impressed, and pray that, with God's help, you will be able to accomplish those goals. Just reading them reminded me I need to go get my glass of water that I poured and drink it, instead of leaving it sitting on the table in the other room... Praying for your church as you continue to seek a new pastor. Wish we lived closer...would love to come and visit and my hubby is a retired minister who could fill the pulpit occasionally! But Florida is a long way for a pulpit supply to travel! Praying for God's choice of Pastor to be prepared and sent to you in His perfect time. God knows exactly who and what you need. have a blessed and beautiful New Year! Stay focused on Jesus, and all these other goals will work out according to His plan!
ReplyDeleteWell, as I mentioned to Vee above, many of these goals are ongoing, so they just stay on the list from month to month. That's what makes the list look so long.
DeleteThank you so much for your prayers for our church. Nearly five years is a long time to not have a pastor. It's not that we're not looking and not talking with potential pastors. But it's all sort of a mine field these days with standards being all over the place.
But you are right. God knows and has the right one for us and will direct us to him or him to us, all in His perfect timing.
What a great list of goals. Your health goals are mine as well. In fact, you reminded me to go get a glass of water and drink it. :) Happy New Year, Mrs. T!
