For Show & Tell today, I thought I would share all of the beautiful snow we are seeing up here. We got about 6 or 7” in yesterday’s storm, but it amounted to quite a bit on top of all the snow we already had. This is the sort of heavy wet snow that clings to tree limbs. It looks really odd to see several inches of snow just standing atop tree branches. It still looks like that today; the snow is not melting or being blown off by the wind. In addition, we are expecting snow showers most of the day today!
Here's a snow-laden evergreen branch:
The snow is just sitting on top of tree branches:
A snow-covered bush:
Snowy trees:
Snowy treetops:
Next to our front porch:
Snowshoe tracks:
A pileated woodpecker has been busy here:
I think this little bush looks just like a snowflake!

Being an outdoorsy and tent camping gal myself, I especially enjoyed your photos you shared. I have to say, living in Texas I have to live vicariously through the rest of you!

The photos are breathtaking! We've had our share of snowstorms this year too :-(
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful -- but I am glad I don't live where it snows a lot. :-D Once or twice a year is good for me. That last picture is just gorgeous -- it does look like a 3-D snowflake.
ReplyDeleteI love fresh fallen snow, but I think I am getting anxious for warmer weather too.
ReplyDeleteLoved looking at the snow--very pretty:)

We got hit hard 16+ inches in 24 hours last Wed.,thank goodness we invested in a snowblower. Feel like I live in a snowbank. But when it all melts my lawn and garden will love it!
