Some goals for August

 Time to set some goals for August!  They are much the same as July's.  Here goes:

* Memorize at least 4 Bible verses and review some older ones
* Do the August Scripture writing plan, Certain Through Uncertainty, with Rachel Wojo
* Post in my blogs as often as possible
* Continue our discipleship study with new believers
* Attend the wedding of dear friends
* Have folks over for Sunday lunch a time or two
* Continue to help our widowed friend Terry with the challenges of life in general

* Get to bed by 9 pm each night
* Pay much more attention to drinking enough water each day
* Read several books
* Complete some estate responsibilities
* Work on the cottage we are fixing up
 * Walk and/or exercise at least 4 times each week
* Get back into Flylady's homemaking zones of the week
* Do something creative each day
* Continue planning for family birthday gifts and crafting any handmade ones
* Spend a little time on some UFO craft projects
* Redouble my efforts in stocking my Etsy shop and continuing to sell vintage items
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family
* Plan a getaway with my hubby
* Help and encourage my local daughter as I'm able
* Continue to encourage and support my hubby as he works through a pastoral search for our church * Continue to sort out and declutter my dad's house, hopefully finding a buyer for a few odds and ends of furniture
* Plan meals with a greater emphasis on healthy eating

HEALTHY HABITS FOR AUGUST:  Drink more water/get more sleep/walk regularly
MY WORD FOR 2020: Diligence

  1. You have wonderful goals. I am proud of you for setting these goals each month. Maybe I would accomplish more if I made a list of goals as well. Something to consider. I am still praying for your church to find the right man for the pastor position. That person is out there somewhere, and when the time is right, he will be there. God has a plan.

    1. Yes, He does indeed have a plan! It will be exciting to watch Him work.

      I think you accomplish plenty as it is, Pamela ... but yes, setting goals is a great help.

  2. Perhaps if the weather cools just a bit, the walking will be far easier to accomplish. Isaias has landed here and I've heard that the weather will be cooler with lower humidity levels. Ahhh...sounds good.

    1. Doesn't it, though? Isaias has landed here too and I hope that the forecast you heard turns out to be right. My friend and I have been walking daily anyway -- going at 7 am when it is a touch cooler. This morning was so oppressive. Things are feeling better now with the wind and rain. We had a tree come down already ...
