WORD For 2017: Stewardship
And here is how June went:
* Continue an informal study of Come Before Winter, by Charles Swindoll, for my quiet time -- DONE!
* Memorize at least 4 Bible verses and review some older ones -- DONE!
* Add 4 pages to my "What Do I Know About My God?" Scripture notebook -- DONE!
* Finish study for Sunday School -- Following God With All Your Heart -- DONE!
* Order books for our next Sunday School study -- DONE!
* Exercise or walk at least 20 times -- not done, though I may have come close.
* Get to bed by 9 pm each night -- not done
* Limit sugar and red meat -- did great with red meat, not so well with sugar
* Drink enough water each day -- not done
* Keep up with Flylady's missions in homemaking zones of the week -- not done, but I'm getting there.
* Post in my Christmas blog at least once or twice weekly -- managed twice this month, but I've been writing and scheduling lots of posts for Christmas in July
* Post in this blog most weekdays if possible -- DONE!
* Continue working on several UFO craft projects -- DONE!
* Continue planning for family birthday gifts and work on crafting any handmade ones -- DONE!
* Declutter filing cabinets and bookshelves -- not done
* Spend several hours updating my A-store -- not done, and now Amazon is apparently discontinuing A-stores. Too bad. I loved having one.
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family -- DONE!
* Help and encourage my local daughter as I'm able -- done, but not much
* Clean church and set up for potluck meal -- DONE!
* Plan a graveside service and family gathering in memory of my dad -- DONE!
* Sort out and declutter my dad's house -- not done
* Scan loads of old family photos -- DONE!
* Plan meals with a greater emphasis on healthy eating -- did fairly well with this
* Finalize trip plans to see loved ones in Nevada -- done except for booking a hotel for one night
* Continue upholding my husband as he continues on with our church's pastoral search -- DONE! (the upholding, that is, not the search. I wish it was done!)
JUNE'S HEALTHY HABITS: Drink enough water/exercise/eat healthfully/drink kombucha
WORD For 2017: Stewardship -- did okay with these.
Obviously, I'm hoping for a productive and enjoyable July!
Well, Dear One, you know what the Lady says, "You're not behind; just start where you are." Your lists always exhaust me. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry, Vee! I hate to add to anyone's exhaustion. Yet I find another saying (not from the FlyLady) to be very true in my life: "If you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time". So I keep trying to aim at something and yes, even jumping in where I am at times, even though my natural tendency is to try and catch up.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend and 4th!
My friends at our reunion last week talked about Fly Lady but I felt so overwhelmed that I couldn't think about all the things I should have done and needed to do. Then I remembered "Start Where You Are"!
ReplyDeleteYes, so true. Start where you are! So neat that all of your old youth group friends are talking about FlyLady.
