a perfect summer day at Newfound Lake |
* Spend time in 1 Samuel Bible study
* Finish Sunday School lesson 12
* Limit sugar
* Keep up with crafting goals for UFOs and Christmas, plus maybe a dress for a granddaughter
* Exercise 5 to 6 times
* Keep up a good water intake
* Get to bed by 9:30 or 10 pm each night
* Post regularly in one or both of my blogs
* Keep up with Kelly's Missions for Zone 3, the bathrooms and Zone 4, the bedrooms
* Do better at staying in touch with friends and faraway family
* Add 2 pages to prayer journal
* Weed garden
* Make a daily time schedule for the things I need to do.
And here's how last week went:
* Spend time in 1 Samuel Bible study -- didn't happen.
* Work on Sunday School lesson 12 -- did work on this a lot, so I can call this goal DONE!
* Limit sugar -- nope.
* Keep up with crafting goals for UFOs and Christmas, plus maybe a dress for a granddaughter -- finished a UFO of long standing, so I'm sort of calling this DONE!
* Exercise 5 to 6 times -- DONE!
* Keep up a good water intake -- DONE!
* Get to bed by 9:30 or 10 pm each night -- came close, but didn't quite manage this.
* Post regularly in one or both of my blogs -- posted some, but not as much as I'd hoped.
* Keep up with Kelly's Missions for Zone 3, the bathrooms -- didn't even get started.
* Do better at staying in touch with friends and faraway family -- DONE!
* Add 2 pages to prayer journal -- nope.
* Weed garden -- did some weeding, but not as much as I'd hoped or planned.
* Make a daily time schedule for the things I need to do -- DONE!
And, as always, I'm hoping for a more productive week ahead!
I always get so much more done when I write my goals out. It's nice to see I'm not the only one to accomplish the whole list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the truth when you do not meet your goals Mrs T. I seldom get all the things done that I have on my List of things to do. It is good to know that I have another day to try to get it done!!
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela and Arlene,
ReplyDeleteYes, I very seldom accomplish everything that's on the list. But it sure does help to make one! I am always reminded of the old (and very true) saying -- "If you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time." In the past, I often aimed at nothing and accomplished very little. A list sure helps me to aim at something!
The picture here is gorgeous! I love puffy white clouds against a bright blue sky and you captured it so well!
ReplyDeleteI put some goals to paper recently, which I rarely do. Not only did it help me stay motivated, but it also served as a good reminder (as I can be very forgetful). And the best part was checking off the completed tasks! You and Carrie get the credit for the inspiration!
I am glad you liked the picture, Mrs. Smith! It was taken last Saturday when we spent some time with friends at their lakeside home. The sun was actually so bright that I didn't even see what the picture looked like before I took it. It was literally "point and shoot" but the pictures came out quite good considering.
ReplyDeleteGlad you could be inspired by our goal-setting. I had slacked off on it for quite a while, but it really does help me to get more done.
