Small projects for your Christmas fabric stash, part 1

Yo-Yo ornament made by one of my granddaughters
Do you have a Christmas fabric stash?  I sure do.  I find pretty Christmas fabric at a good price almost impossible to resist.   Sometimes I even buy it when I don't know what I'll use it for.  You too?  One idea for using the larger pieces would be a Christmas tablecloth or table topper.  But often I will have scraps left over from other projects.

If you are like me and want to use up every possible scrap of your Christmas fabrics, here are some links to a few projects I have shared over  in my Christmas kitchen in the past.

Hope you've enjoyed these ideas.  Have fun with them!  Some would even make nice Christmas gifts!  Today I am linking up this post and Part 2 with No Place Like Home at Rose Chintz Cottage.

  1. Wow so many ideas. My dear MIL made me quite a few Christmas napkins with her Christmas Cloth stash and I still use them. I love all the yo yos as well. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us.

  2. Oh do I have Christmas fabric. I pulled out my stash but I'm sure there is more tucked away somewhere. It's a very large collection and I still like all of it. Many pieces are quite small and I like your ideas here for little pieces. I also have some larger ones, but don't have much use for table runners or table clothes just yet. I guess I'll hang onto them for a while longer.

It's just fun looking through them once in a while.

    Thank you for sharing.

  3. You are welcome, ladies!

Arlene -- so neat that your mother-in-law made fabric napkins from her stash, too! I made a set for each of my girls one year.

Mrs. D -- glad you like the ideas and I hope you can have fun using them. I just put up a "Part 2" post with more ideas!

  4. I don't ever buy fabric because alas, I don't sew. However, whenever I see toile fabric I will grab some of that because one way or another, I will find something to use it for. I'm a toile-aholic, you see! I love the little yo-yos! One could do so much with those. Thank you for sharing.

    Christmas blessings,
    Sandi

  6. You are welcome, ladies! And Sandi, the yo-yos are made with simple hand sewing. My granddaughters (probably 9 and 11 at the time) made the yo-yo ornaments in the photos, so it's easy to do.
