What a wonderful day I had yesterday spending time with my daughter and grandchildren. along with other friends at a nearby lake. No matter how hot and sticky it may be here, there always seems to be a cool breeze under the big pine trees. There was time to read and crochet while relaxing in a camp chair under a tree, and time to play with the grandkids and enjoy their sand-covered antics. It was a perfect summer day.
God is so good to provide these joyful moments even in the midst of less-than-ideal times in our lives!
Sounds like a great day...happy for you that you took that time away to relax..away from it all.

I am glad that you had a relaxing and rejuvenating time. There's just something about being around the water - especially if you have a nice tree to shade you:).

ReplyDeleteThanks for your thoughtful comments! Carrie goes to the beach every week (weather permitting) and I'm always invited but seldom have taken time to go along. I finally reached the point where I just decided this was something I was going to do. It's special time with her and the children, not to mention a relaxing change of pace for me.
