A new month means new goals (and with me, always some ongoing ones as well). The December calendar page is already beginning to fill up! Here goes:
* Keep up with Flylady's homemaking zones of the week
* Spend time with our friends who are younger believers
* Enjoy our church ladies' gathering and gift exchange
* Post in this blog as often as possible
* Post in my Christmas blog every day if possible
* Continue planning and making Christmas gifts and decor
* Maybe make a small and simple Christmas planner
* Continue planning for family birthday gifts and crafting any handmade ones
* Continue studying and preparing for my Sunday Scripture blog posts
* Do a December Scripture writing plan
*Work on Even If, a study of Habakkuk from the Daily Grace Co.
* Continue stocking my Etsy shop and continue selling vintage items
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family
* Help and encourage my local daughter as I'm able
* Plan meals with a greater emphasis on healthy eating
* Continue to work on memorizing the book of James
* Continue to help a widowed friend with the challenges of life in general
* Get to bed by 8:30 each night we are at home
* Drink enough water each day
* Walk and/or exercise at least 4 times each week
* Possibly plan a few get-togethers with friends
* Brainstorm about Christmas with my daughter
* Plan and prepare food for Christmas

HEALTHY HABITS FOR DECEMBER: Drink more water/get more sleep/get more exercise/intermittent fasting/limit carbs
WORD FOR 2024: Continue
And there you have it -- my goals for December. We will see how I do!
Whew! That's quite a busy schedule! I pray that God will give you strength to accomplish all that really NEEDS to be accomplished, and the wisdom to know what and when things could be or should be cut if you should run out of time or energy to do them all. Sometimes we have big ideas and plans but actually doing them all can be very exhausting, and we find ourselves needing to set aside times for rest. I know my calendar is filling up very quickly too, but I know my limits and so I try not to overwhelm myself too much with too much. I want to arrive on Christmas morning with joy and peace and much thankfulness for that wonderful Baby in the Manger, the true reason for this season!
