Wednesday again! Time for the Wednesday Hodgepodge at From This Side of the Pond. Joyce writes the questions, bloggers provide the answers! Here we go ...
1. Let's compare this May to last May. What's changed? What remains very much the same?
Nearly everything is pretty much the same. We're in our busy season of volunteering at The Wilds of New England. May is always crunch time as the summer camp staff begins arriving and the buildings and grounds must be prepared.
I do think we've had much more rain than last May, and my hubby and I are navigating an issue with his health that is complicating things a bit right now.

More of a tortoise, especially these days. I try to take things slow and steady, to pace myself and even stop for breaks if necessary.

6. Insert your own random thought here.
We're attempting some big changes to our diet this month. Lots to think about!
And there's the Hodgepodge for today...
Eating a particular way does require some thought and definitely some planning. Good luck with that. Little Women was a favorite of mine too. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteSaying a prayer for your hubby and also for you as you navigate his health concerns. I'm glad you have the little cottage to get away to and spend some relaxing times there together. That's what I'd love to do too, just to get away from the noise of the world for a while. I also loved Little Women, although honestly I don't remember reading it as a child, only as an adult. But I loved it nonetheless! And I've read most of those other books by Louisa May Alcott. Your mother looks like a wonderful person...very attractive too! You and I were both blessed with good mothers! I hope things calm down for you both soon and that all will be well. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteVolunteering at The Wilds of New England sounds wonderful but challenging at the same time. I hope things work out OK for your husband.
ReplyDeleteYour cottage looks so cute, what a perfect place for some relaxation.
Good luck with the changes to your diet.
I'm sorry to hear about your husbands health challenges, it sounds like you are taking positive steps to remedy them.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely photo of your mum, I love vintage things too especially books and trinkets.
Sometimes I don't think we realize how healing relaxation is. Your mother was very pretty. I love that pic. Loved the bunny pic.
ReplyDeleteAs I read your post, I began praying for your husband’s health, praying that the relaxation is easy to come by and aids his healing.
ReplyDeleteI pray for your stamina as well, and your peace. You are wise to take t things slow and steady, pacing yourself. We all need to do more of that.
