A Blessed Resurrection Day to You!

Mr. T and I would like to wish all of our friends a blessed and meaning-filled  day of celebrating Christ's resurrection on this Lord's Day.  "He is risen, as He said"!  (Matthew 28:7)

Our Resurrection Day celebration began with a meaningful outdoor service which was a real blessing.  Although the field where we usually meet for this service was  still mostly snow-covered, we were able to stand on dry gravel in the church driveway adjacent to the field.  The temperature was in the 50s and felt so balmy.  Jackets were not even necessary!

We then adjourned to the fellowship hall to enjoy a bountiful breakfast (including a waffle station and another station for crepes!) with our church family.  After breakfast, we enjoyed a lovely Easter worship service together  We hope that all of you will have as lovely a day and that you will spend time pondering on what Christ's resurrection means for you personally.

Happy Easter!

  1. Your day sounds wonderful right from the early beginning. ☺ I have not attended a sunrise service in many years. John, on the other hand, would not miss one if he could help it.

As Believers, I think that we spend a lot more time than just this day celebrating Who He Is and What He did and is doing, but the celebratory things such as the sunrise services, shared meals, and Baptisms are special times.

I spent the afternoon with my family. My daughter-in-law was the hostess and everything was fabulous. Even the weather wasn't as bad as we had expected. It wasn't good, but that's another story altogether... This year has been weird in that department.

    1. You are so right when you say: "As Believers, I think that we spend a lot more time than just this day celebrating Who He Is and What He did and is doing, but the celebratory things such as the sunrise services, shared meals, and Baptisms are special times".

The joy of The Lord is so evident around our dining table on Friday nights when we get together with our young friends whom we are discipling. Just an ordinary meal, with ordinary people around a table, but our fellowship is centered on God and His Word and I cannot even begin to tell you how sacred and celebratory that feels.

The weather was better than we expected, too. Some flooding in our local area, which we went and took a look at, but no rain at the church. Some rain here at our home, but then later the weather was nice enough for us to enjoy a long walk.

  5. Sounds like a wonderful Easter. It was a bit chilly in the morning in north Ga but it warmed up after lunch. My friend in MN said it was warmer there on Saturday than it was in Ga! Now that is unusual. We attended First Baptist in Chatsworth and what a blessing...good music and good preaching. It is our church home when we visit there.

    1. I'm so thankful that you have found such a wonderful church home in Chatsworth. Good churches that feel like family and home are not easy to find.
