Our weather has been just lovely this week. Cooling down and getting downright chilly at night, but then the days have been warm and sunny. And the foliage is becoming more colorful by the day. Here are a few recent pictures.

Red and orange |
Love this orangey tree behind the old picket fence |
Some oak leaves do turn red and orange. |
This was right near the red oak leaves and I liked the jumble of leaves and the pinecone as seen against the gray tree bark. |
These pretty trees are near an intersection close to my home. I stopped the car on the quiet road and snapped this from inside the car. |
And this spray of red leaves is in my front yard. |
Beautiful pictures. I love the red oak leaves.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandy! I think the fall colors aren't quite as vibrant as usual here, but they are still very pretty.
DeleteI have! Red oaks. I did not know. Alas, I am surrounded by other varieties. I always loved the children’s poem “Autumn Fires” and was charmed by the sweet illustrations. I have the same book somewhere.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've always loved that poem too, and my girls did, especially as it is illustrated in that particular Little Golden Book. Eloise Wilkin was such an incredible artist.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed the photo tour. You've found some nice color too and I've enjoyed seeing it on Instagram.
Your autumn photos are so pretty, I love this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
It's my favorite time of year, Sue. I just love it!
DeleteThanks for visiting. You have a blessed day as well, and a wonderful weekend!
So glad that you've got some pretty fall colors to look at now! It is fun to go out and explore and find new places where the trees are so pretty! I just love this fall season!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Marilyn! And it's nice we are getting some fall color at last. It's still not up to its usual standard here, but pretty anyway. This afternoon we took a drive on some old back roads and saw some lovely foliage and wonderful old farms.
DeleteWhat beautiful Fall photos, Mrs. T.! You're so lucky to live in such a gorgeous area.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and commenting on my Cissy! We do have fun together. Thank you, also, for the congratulatory wishes on my new granddaughter.
We are indeed so blessed to live in New Hampshire, Kitty! I've visited numerous other places, but we like this New England area the best.
DeleteI do enjoy your blog, Kitty. It's always fun to read about what you are up to in the kitchen. That sweet Cissy and her obvious enjoyment of baking with you makes me nostalgic for the days when I and my granddaughters (now 14 and 16 and busy with other things) used to spend hours in the kitchen together!
Mrs T, I did see Priscilla's cow finish. I am copying her just a bit. I ran by Hobby Lobby this morning to pick up some fabric. Love those beautiful colors up your way. I wish we could take a walk together and enjoy the scenery.
