Recipes, memories and random thoughts from my kitchen
So here are six more posts from the December archives. We start with a wonderful crockpot recipe from 2012 for Round Steak Italiano -- ...
A lovely gift.
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs. T. That is a beautiful, unique piece. Do you suppose it is to serve jelly?
ReplyDeleteNancy
Very pretty and unique.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing that the spoon has survived too - they get broken so easily.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting and pretty dish. Do you think it's purpose was originally for an olive tapenade?

Oh, that is pretty! I wonder how it was used..
ReplyDeleteSo very cute!

How neat! Cool colors-and yes a cute spoon too!
ReplyDeleteLadies,
ReplyDeleteIt is truly a joy to see so many of you here at my kitchen table! Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments about my little dish. Nancy, I tend to think you are right and that it's intended to serve jelly. The inside of the dish is smooth, not bumpy like the grapes on the outside as one might think. And the spoon looks about right for plunking a serving of jelly on a piece of toast or English muffin.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
God bless,
Mrs.T
