May Goals

Hmmm ... that sounds like the beginning of a sentence.  "May goals be achieved!" or "May goals be set carefully!" or something along that line,  maybe.  But what I'm referring to, obviously, is my goals for the month of May.  Here they are:

MAY GOALS
* Continue reading through the book of Psalms, journaling as I go.
* Read  A Woman's Call to Prayer
* Memorize at least 4 Bible verses.
* Continue study of 2 Samuel
* Exercise at least 15 times; walk as often as possible
* Get to bed by 9:30 pm each night.
* Limit sugar.
* Drink enough water each day.
* Keep up with Kelly's missions in homemaking zones of the week.
* Spend several hours updating my A-store.
* Make at least a dozen items for sale at craft fairs.
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family.
* Write last 3 pages for summer devotional book
* Post often in both of my blogs -- probably not daily, but more often than weekly
* Finish some UFO craft projects for the home.
* Finish writing down my memories for faraway grandchildren
* Declutter several closets, drawers, shelves etc.
* Begin preparing Sunday School lesson 1 for new study
* Work on crafts for gifts or sale.

And here is how I did with my April goals:
APRIL GOALS
* Begin reading through the book of Psalms, journaling as I go -- DONE!
* Finish reading How to Build Your Home on Holy Ground -- DONE!
* Memorize at least 4 Bible verses -- DONE!
* Begin study of 2 Samuel -- DONE!
 * Drink enough water each day -- DONE!
* Keep up with Kelly's missions in homemaking zones of the week -- not done
* Travel to and from Nevada; enjoy time with family there  -- DONE!
* Spend several hours updating my A-store -- not done
* Finish reading Following God with All Your Heart -- not done (I had thought this might be the next study I did with my Sunday School class, so was reading it in preparation for that.  I've decided on a different book.)
* Make at least a dozen items for sale at craft fairs -- not done
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family-- not done; think I managed 2.
 * Write 8 new pages for summer devotional book -- not completely done; I have written 5 pages.
* Post often in both of my blogs -- probably not daily, but more often than weekly -- not done
* Finish some UFO craft projects for the home -- not done
* Finish writing down my memories for faraway grandchildren/bring book to them -- not done; I took the book along and did write in it a lot, but didn't finish filling it in.
* Declutter several closets -- not done
* Finish preparing Sunday School lesson 14 -- DONE!
* Finish several handcrafted birthday gifts for April birthdays -- DONE!

So, for this month ... May goals be accomplished!

  1. I have had my grands all week so many of my plans have gone awry but I am learning that tomorrow is another day and hopefully I can complete the tasks I have left undone!! Blessings on your list, whether you accomplish each thing or not!!

  2. I hear you, Arlene! I had grandkids with me part of last week. One thing I remind myself is that household tasks will be here again tomorrow, but the children might not be. We have such a short span of time, really, to impact their lives and to be a godly encouragement to them.

So my list doesn't always get done, but tomorrow is another day, right?
