January goals

It's a new month (and a new year -- I'll be posting my New Year goals soon!) so here are my goals for January:

* Do a January Scripture writing challenge (the names of God)
* Memorize at least 4 Bible verses and review some older ones
* Read the January chapters in the Daily Walk Bible
* Set goals for the coming year
* Blog about my word for the year
* Evaluate the year just past
* Continue our discipleship study with new believers
* Continue study for Sunday School -- A Woman Who Reflects the Heart of Jesus
* Get to bed by 9 pm each night
* Limit sugar
* Drink enough water each day
 * Walk and/or exercise each day
* Take the Clutter Challenge with Clean Mama
* Keep up with Flylady's homemaking zones of the week
* Do something creative each day
* Post in this blog as often as possible
* Post in my Christmas blog as often as possible
* Continue planning for family birthday gifts and crafting any handmade ones
* Continue stocking my Etsy shop and continue selling vintage items
* Do Etsy and trust bookkeeping
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family
* Help and encourage my local daughter as I'm able
* Continue to encourage and support my hubby as he works through a pastoral search for our church
* Clean church and set up for fellowship time
* Sort out and declutter my dad's house, hopefully taking many loads to the dump and thrift store and consolidating the remaining items yet to dispose of;  work on estate
* Plan meals with a greater emphasis on healthy eating

DECEMBER'S HEALTHY HABITS:  Drink enough water/exercise/eat healthfully/get enough sleep
WORD FOR 2018: Settled

So there you have it.  I'm very thankful for how December went.  Even though it seemed to speed by, I can truthfully say that I enjoyed nearly every moment and saw God's hand through it all.  I'm very much looking forward to seeing what He will do in 2019.

  2. Happy New Year!
I used to do Flylady, but haven't for a while. You've encouraged me to get back at it.
Could you explain a bit more about your monthly Scripture writing challenges? Thanks.

    1. Hi Maureen!

I'm currently working at implementing a combination of FlyLady and Clean Mama. I like both of their ideas very much.

The Scripture writing challenges may be found at sites like Heidi St. John or Rachel Wojo. Others, too, I'm sure, but those are plans that I have used.

Last year I wrote a post on just how I do this. You can find it here: Scripture writing and journaling. Hope you find it helpful!
