Some goals for June

A new month, and time for a new list of goals:

* Do a June Scripture writing challenge
* Begin reading through the New Testament
* Memorize at least 4 Bible verses and review some older ones
* Continue our discipleship study with new believers
* Continue to  help a recently widowed friend with the challenges of life in general
* Continue study for Sunday School -- A Woman Who Reflects the Heart of Jesus
* Get to bed by 9 pm each night
* Limit sugar
* Drink enough water each day
 * Walk and/or exercise at least 3 times each week
* Keep up with Flylady's homemaking zones of the week (with some help from Clean Mama)
* Do something creative each day
* Post in this blog as often as possible
* Post in my Christmas blog as often as possible
* Continue planning for family birthday gifts and crafting any handmade ones
* Spend a little time on some UFO craft projects
* Continue stocking my Etsy shop and continue selling vintage items
* Work on Etsy and trust bookkeeping as necessary
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family
* Help and encourage my local daughter as I'm able
* Attend wedding of our friends' daughter
* Create one (possibly 2) handmade wedding gifts
* Continue to encourage and support my hubby as he works through a pastoral search for our church
* Clean church and set up for fellowship time
* Continue to sort out and declutter my dad's house, hopefully taking many loads to the dump and thrift store and consolidating the remaining items yet to dispose of;  work on estate
* Get several large pieces of furniture from the old homestead to their new owners
* Plan meals with a greater emphasis on healthy eating

* Plan some special family times as we have 3 birthdays this month -- done!
* Continue to sort out and declutter my dad's house, hopefully taking many loads to the dump and thrift store and consolidating the remaining items yet to dispose of;  work on estate  -- didn't accomplish as much as I'd hoped, but it's progressing
* Plan meals with a greater emphasis on healthy eating -- done!

HEALTHY HABITS FOR MAY:  Drink more water/get more sleep

I never accomplish all of my goals, but I sincerely believe the old adage that if you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time.  So these lists are my way of aiming at something!

  1. I have not been walking as much so today I plan to get back to that each evening after dinner. Thanks for your encouragement to stay on task.

  2. That's an intimidating list for June, however, I completely agree with you that if you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time, so, more power to ya!

    1. Thanks, Barbara. Without my lists I would accomplish far less!

  3. You are incredibly organized! Do you schedule time slots for your various projects or how do you decide what needs doing when?

    1. Oh, I don't know about that, Vee, as far as being incredibly organized. I just have to make lists or I would get very little done.

I do schedule time slots for certain tasks. I make a weekly list incorporating things from my monthly list, and work off that weekly list for my daily priorities. Often I fail miserably. But I do find that paying attention to timing on doing these tasks really helps a lot. I do more complicated tasks during my more energetic or clear-thinking times of day, for examples, and no-brainer tasks like folding laundry in late afternoon.

  4. I would say you had a very productive, May, I am so impressed, your list for June is just as impressive. I too am a list maker, usually mine is weekly, but I like this monthly challenge, I think I might just try this! I also make a list each day from my weekly list, and love to check it off, some days I get all checks but most days not so. ~wink~ Your list tells me that you are such a loving and generous person.Thank you for sharing.
    Blessings,
    Sue

    1. Thank you, Sue, and I hope that you start making a monthly list as well! I know just what you mean -- most days I just do not get everything crossed off. But then I just move it to the next day.

Thanks for your sweet comment ... Blessings to you as well!

Creating a simple list of things I would like to achieve each month is a good place to start.. I love your goals for the month of June... And I'm so impressed by all that you managed to get done in May!

    1. Oh, thanks, Denise! You are so welcome! I really find that if I don't have goals, I just don't get as much done, and since I am determined to live out God's purpose for me, I just need these monthly lists.
