A few goals for February

Beautiful graphic by Abby at Little Birdie Blessings

* Keep up with Flylady's homemaking zones of the week
* Continue working through the "Make Room Challenge" from Make Room for What You Love
* Post in this blog as often as possible -- hopefully several times per week
* Post in my Christmas blog as often as possible
* Continue planning for family birthday gifts and crafting any handmade ones
* Craft some homemade Christmas gifts and decorations (yes, even now!)
* Do some sewing projects ( a few more sachets to stave off musty odors, plus maybe curtains) for the cottage
* Finish 2 pillow quilts for youngest granddaughters
* Spend a little time on some UFO craft projects
* Begin decluttering the entire house, zone by zone
* With my hubby, set some goals for 2023
* Plan a winter getaway with my hubby
* Continue stocking my Etsy shop and continue selling vintage items
* Spend some time on my trust responsibilities
* Spend some time volunteering at The Wilds of New England
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family
* Help and encourage my local daughter as I'm able
* Plan meals with a greater emphasis on healthy eating
* Memorize several Bible verses and review some older ones
* Get back into our study of the book of Daniel with younger believers
* Continue to help a widowed friend with the challenges of life in general
* Drink enough water each day
* Walk and/or exercise at least 4 times each week

HEALTHY HABITS FOR FEBRUARY:  Drink more water/get more sleep/get more exercise/intermittent fasting/limit carbs

  1. Ambitious goals! Here I sit thinking about getting dressed. ☺️

    1. 😂. Oh, I am dressed, but still planning my day! Busy one today.

    2. Ambitious, indeed! I have been getting my "craft room" in some kind of order so that I can start sewing comfortably in there. It's also a sort of guest room where we put a nice large blow-up bed when needed. Anyway, I was getting myself in the mind to finally be able to start working in there and hubs came down with a cold and has now taken over the room so I don't have to share his germs. We're thankful for a spare bed, and I appreciate his not wanting to spread his cold, but I'm really itching to get into the storage closet in there and do some more culling and organizing.

    3. My craft closet, sewing space, Etsy inventory, and computer room are currently sharing space along with a number of bookshelves. It's not a very large room so clearly I have to organize and declutter. I decluttered a bookcase in our bedroom quite ruthlessly last week, so I am feeling inspired.

I’m working on drinking more water every day, too!

    1. It's so important and I just don't stay on top of it the way I should.

  3. One more goal (suggestion): don't be hard on yourself if all expectations are not met. Accomplishing even a few of these would be admirable.

  4. You're right, I know! 😊. Don't worry, I will be gentle with myself.

  5. Happy February! Another goal: Enjoy the beauty of winter in New England while it lasts. Stay warm and cozy and healthy, and share the beauty of your lovely area with us as often as possible! May God's peace be yours in the February month of love and joy!

    1. Oh yes! I think I am really enjoying winter this year. It has helped that we didn't have a lot of snow and extreme cold, but that's with us now!

  6. Wow! your goals for February were so encouraging to me, I have been working on the healthy habits including the intermittent fasting. Thank you for sharing.

    1. I'm glad you were encouraged, Sue! The intermittent fasting is really a great discipline. I have done it before, but this time hubby is on board too. It really helps!

  7. I enjoy reading through your goals. Thinking I may need to start doing this; I seem to get so much more accomplished when I have a list.

    1. Yes. Me too. I got a lot done last week and have high hopes for March.
