December 1 -- Goals for December

For the past few years, I have tried to make a point of posting every day in December, but have seldom succeeded.  This year I thought that I wouldn't even try, but then I decided there was a way in which I might make it happen.  I typically take part in the Wednesday Medley (though not always) and I try to write a "Friday five" post.  I thought I could continue doing those, plus plug in posts from a past December (in this case 2011) to fill in the rest of the month.  I don't feel badly about recycling posts from the archives, since I have many newer readers who missed those posts.  So that's my plan.

Now -- since I always write a "goals for the month" post on or around the first, here goes with goals for December:

* Do a December Scripture writing challenge
* Memorize at least 4 Bible verses and review some older ones.
* Continue study for Sunday School -- A Woman Who Reflects the Heart of Jesus
* Get to bed by 9 pm each night
* Limit red meat.
* Drink enough water each day.
* Walk and/or exercise each day.
* Keep up with Flylady's homemaking zones of the week.
* Do something creative each day
* Bake dozens of Christmas cookies
* Post in this blog daily if possible
* Post in my Christmas blog daily
* Send Christmas cards
* Purchase and wrap Christmas gifts
* Mail gifts to faraway family
* Take 3 of our grandkids on a traditional shopping trip
* Attend ladies' Christmas fellowship at church
* Take part in church gift exchange and community Christmas caroling
* Attend a Christmas party for my hubby's work
* Continue planning for family birthday gifts and crafting any handmade ones
* Continue stocking my Etsy shop and continue selling vintage items
* Write at least 4 encouraging notes to friends and family
* Help and encourage my local daughter as I'm able
* Make Christmas plans
 * Celebrate Christmas
* Continue to encourage and support my hubby as he works through a pastoral search for our church
* Clean church and set up for fellowship time
* Sort out and declutter my dad's house; work on estate
* Plan meals with a greater emphasis on healthy eating

* Continue study for Sunday School -- A Woman Who Reflects the Heart of Jesus -- done!

* Do something creative each day -- done!

  1. Worthy goals, all. We do our best and know for certain God loves us no matter what has had to be left undone.

    1. Amen! God knows the season of life that each of us is in, and He remembers that we are dust. I set goals so that I have something to aim at, but I don't beat myself up if they aren't all accomplished.
