A busy week of volunteering kept us out of town until Saturday. We had so much to do Saturday afternoon -- laundry, planning, and much more -- that we weren't sure we should take time for a jaunt over to our little cottage. But it was a warm, golden autumn afternoon and we just couldn't stay away. Mr. T wanted to clean out the fridge and defrost it, which made the perfect reason to visit.
With the leaves coming off the trees, our view of Loon Lake is improving day by day. It's even better from inside the camp. This time of year is when our camp's name really takes on meaning.
Our daughter and the two grandgirls were out for a walk and stopped by for a visit in the chairs around the fire pit. You can see I was in full relax mode. 😊
Although many of the leaves around camp have fallen, there are still some smaller trees that are brilliant. I snapped a couple of photos.
Yes, it was the perfect afternoon for defrosting a fridge, checking mouse traps, and relaxing with dear ones in the golden sunshine. We're glad that we took the time.
I didn't realize you had a lakeview at your camp! That is so perfect! Is there a place where you can walk to the lake and get closer to it? Your autumn leaves are so lovely, even on the ground. Perfect setting!
ReplyDeleteSounds idyllic...well all except for the defrosting the fridge. Saturday was a beautiful day. I like those young trees that put on such a show. That one is a beautiful color.
